Poem of the Month

I remember that special day

When Christ was born in a humble way

 

We sang joyful songs through out the land

To proclaim to the world the Lord is at hand

 

We watched our Savior Learn and grow

Into a man the whole world will know

 

Far above we heard him speak

Of loving your neighbor and blessing the meek

 

The sick were healed the cripple could walk

Thousands would follow him to hear him talk

 

But so quick his mission was nearing its end

And we knew his great suffering would soon begin

 

We cried as he wept in the garden that night

as the spear pierced his side it was a sorrowful sight

 

We watched as they laid him in a tomb cold and gray

But three days quickly passed and the stone rolled away

 

For God showed his glory in a powerful way

The son of God has risen on this easter day

 

Our father now reigns with the Lord at his side

Resurrection is a promise to all who will and have died
